Political Cartoon

This project addresses the issue of politicians holding office for too long and the stagnation it creates in our political system. Many elected officials remain in power for decades, leading to a disconnect from the needs of their constituents. My cartoon will feature politicians in wheelchairs outside the nursing home White House, using satire to emphasize the irony of leaders who have outstayed their welcome and to advocate for term limits.

The target audience includes voters, policymakers, and young activists eager for political change. By provoking thought and encouraging dialogue about the need for fresh perspectives in leadership, this cartoon aims to challenge the status quo and empower citizens to advocate for reform.

Guided by the question—how might we illustrate the stagnation caused by long-serving politicians to inspire calls for change?—this project will create a visually impactful narrative that resonates with audiences and sparks meaningful conversation about dynamic leadership in our government.
